We have raised €350! 🎉

A big thank you to our community for showing such generosity and kindness, together, we are helping to make a difference. ✨

Toledo Thames British School

🏛️ Exploring History in Toledo! 🇪🇸✨

Last Friday, our Year 9 and Year 10 Spanish Culture students visited the beautiful city of Toledo.

Through an engaging and insightful historical tour, our students discovered why Toledo is known as the “City of the Three Cultures.”

Fue una experiencia verdaderamente enriquecedora, en la que profundizaron su comprensión sobre el impacto que las diferentes culturas y civilizaciones han tenido en nuestra sociedad actual, desde la religión hasta el desarrollo de nuestras ciudades. 🌍📚

Learning beyond the classroom helps bring history to life and fosters a deeper appreciation of our shared heritage.

Troya Thames British School

🎭✨ A Legendary Performance by Our Primary Students! ✨🎭

Our Primary students recently took to the stage to perform a fantastic musical inspired by the famous story of Troy and the Trojan Horse. 🐴🏛️

From the beautiful costumes and creative props to the music, singing, and acting, the performance was absolutely amazing. The students brought the ancient legend to life with enthusiasm, confidence, and incredible teamwork.

The story of the Trojan Horse comes from Greek mythology and tells how the Greeks used a giant wooden horse to enter the city of Troy after a long war. According to the legend, Greek soldiers hid inside the horse, which was taken into the city as a “gift.” During the night, they emerged and opened the gates of Troy, leading to the end of the famous Trojan War.

Muchísimas felicidades a nuestros talentosos alumnos y un sincero agradecimiento a nuestros maravillosos profesores, que ayudaron a crear y organizar una actuación tan memorable. ¡Estamos muy orgullosos de todos vosotros! 👏🎶

Easter Thames British School

🐣🇩🇪 Celebrating Easter the German way! 🌸🌳

During this week, our students have been learning about German Easter traditions in class 🇩🇪✨

One of these traditions is decorating Easter eggs, and our students brought this to life by creating their own colourful designs 🎨🥚

We then took our learning outdoors to our Forest School, where we chose our very own Easter tree and decorated it with the beautiful eggs 🌳🌈

¡Una forma maravillosa de combinar el aprendizaje de idiomas, la cultura, la creatividad y la naturaleza! 🌿💛

February 2026

🎭✨ Carnival is coming to school! ✨🎭

Carnival is the perfect excuse to fill our school with colour, creativity and smiles. On this special day, learning comes together with fun:

👗 Children and staff in costumes
🎶 Music, games and activities in class
📸 Lots of moments to remember with friends
😊 A great opportunity to build confidence and celebrate our school community

We love seeing our students express themselves, use their imagination and enjoy a different kind of school day. Let’s make this Carnival a day full of joy, laughter and togetherness! 🎉

🌍✨ OAKMUN 2026

Our Secondary students have just returned from Barcelona, where they took part in the Three-Day Conference Experience OAKMUN 2026 from 11th–13th February.

This year, OAKMUN grew from a two-day to a three-day conference, allowing for deeper debate, stronger resolutions and more meaningful delegate engagement. OAKMUN 2026 also marks a historic milestone as the first edition to host schools from more than two countries, bringing together a truly diverse range of perspectives and cultures – much closer to the real environment of the United Nations.

By welcoming so many different voices, experiences and worldviews, OAKMUN 2026 became not just a simulation, but a genuine forum for global dialogue and diplomacy.

Well done to all our delegates – we are very proud of your achievements! 👏

🐉✨ Celebrating Chinese New Year at Thames British School! ✨🐉

This week, our Early Years and Primary students have been celebrating the Chinese New Year with great excitement and curiosity! 🏮🎊

Our classrooms have been filled with vibrant decorations, special assemblies, and the exploration of traditional customs that make this celebration so unique. From learning about the Chinese zodiac 🐍 to discovering the meaning behind red envelopes and lanterns 🧧🏮, our students have enjoyed every moment of this cultural journey.

It has been a wonderful opportunity to embrace diversity, broaden global awareness, and experience the richness of international traditions together 🌍❤️

Happy Chinese New Year to all our families celebrating! 🥳🐉

January 2026

🌍 Year 10 at the Natural History Museum! 🦕

Our Year 10 students from Thames British School visited the Natural History Museum in Madrid, where — guided by an expert — they learned about evolution and discovered both living and extinct animals.

They had the opportunity to take part in hands-on experiments and practical activities that helped bring their learning to life. At Thames British School, we believe that learning beyond the classroom is essential to inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and connect theory with real-world experiences.

A fantastic day of discovery and learning! ✨

🤗 World Hug Day

Did you know that hugs can make a real difference? A simple hug can help us slow down our breathing, feel calmer, and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. Hugs can also bring a sense of security and protection, strengthen our feeling of connection, and even boost self-esteem.

They’re often linked with the release of oxytocin (the “feel-good” hormone) and can help us feel more positive, grateful, and supported—perfect for strengthening our school community. 💙

On 21st January, we celebrated it by sharing kindness and warmth… one hug at a time!

🎓 Careers Week

Careers Week has been incredibly successful! We were delighted to welcome so many parents and experts who came in to share their professions and inspire our students.

From a yoga teacher to an anthropology and linguistics specialist, an Antarctic explorer, and professionals such as architects, engineers, robot programmers, and doctors (and many more!), our children loved discovering what different jobs involve.

Through these talks, students learned that every career has a story behind it — and that curiosity, effort and passion can lead you anywhere. Most importantly, they left feeling excited to dream big about the future and the possibilities ahead. 🌟

A huge thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time and made this week so meaningful for our pupils! 👏

Join our family at any time of the year.

At Thames British School, we are proud to be an inclusive international school welcoming students from 1 to 18 years old. We accept applications throughout the year and support each family at every stage of the admissions process.
