Thames British School is pleased to announce a 50% scholarship for students who wish to study the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Year 12 and Year 13. This scholarship will cover the full two years of the programme and aims to make an internationally recognised pathway more accessible, one known for its academic rigour, critical thinking, and strong university preparation.
The school introduced the IB two years ago and, through this initiative, aims to strengthen and promote the IBDP, highlighting the qualities that set this programme apart from other upper-secondary routes. The scholarship is also open to external students who would like to join Thames British School next academic year with financial support.
Application deadline
The scholarship can be applied for until 31 May by emailing: justine.delmet@thamesbritishschool.es
Selection criteria
Applications will be assessed based on:
- Attitude and effort: consistent and strong work ethic, with a positive attitude towards learning (as evidenced in school reports).
- Personal motivation: a personal application letter written by the student, outlining academic and personal goals and motivation.
- Interview: a personal interview with the selection committee (10–20 minutes).
